Biografía de Tony Touch (Tony Toca)

TONY TOUCH Often referred to as Tony Toca...known for his superior skills on the 1's and 2's, his ability to rock the mic with the best, and his knack for releasing some of the flyest mixtapes in the genre of hip hop. Whatever the case may be, if you know hip hop, you know him and remember the first time you heard his 50mc'smixtape (parts 1,2 or 3). You sat in amazement at the thought of some of the hottest artist in the game like Krs One, Kool G Rap, Big Daddy Kane, Wyklef,M.O.P,and Mos Def coming together for one collective piece! Or the street loving "5 Deadly Venoms of Brooklyn" with Tony the helm and Dj Premier, Mr. Cee, Evil Dee, and PF Cuttin in the mix. Then there was the one two punch combo of Doo Wop and Toca together with "The Diaz Brothers". When the smoke cleared, Touch garnered several plaques at Justo's Mixtape Awards including Best Freestyles on a Mixtape (4 years in a row), Best Duo Mixtape (with Doo Wop) (twice) as well as praise from all us hip hop heads that knew who the real mixtape king was.

When Tony stepped out of the dark shadows of the underground and into the light with his first major label release in 2000 on Tommy Boy Records entitled "The Piece Maker" heads rolled and peeps who did not know who Tony Touch was, now knew. The album was 21 tracks deep and featured new music from renowned artists like Big Pun, Wu Tang Clan, Busta Rhymes, Cypress Hill, Gang Starr, Eminem and much more, selling over 400,000 units worldwide. The Single "I Wonder Why" featuring Total was put to video and featured cameos from John Leguizamo, Rock Steady Crew, Grand Master Flash, Red Alert to name a few. The video remains in rotation on BET ,MTV and video shows worldwide. His last Cd...The "Piece Maker 2" featured original music from SRuben Blades, P Diddy, Redman, FatJoe, Noreaga, Method Man,Sean Paul,Snoop Dog, Slick Rick and many many more.

When hes not orchestrating a massive cipher, or out representing the Rock Steady Crew, Tone can be found djing in clubs all over the world including the U.S., Germany, Japan, Cuba, London, Switzerland, Columbia, Australia, Puerto Rico, France, Greece, and Spain....just to name a few!
Touch has been a featured artist on many albums including The Beatnuts, Sean Paul,Boot Camp Click, K slay and more. He has produced tracks for Flip Mode Squad, The RZA, and the Cocoa'Bs and well. Toca has also played the role as a tour dj for Gurus Jazzmatazz, Cypress Hill, Terror Squad, and was recently spotted on Saturday Night Live and the Dave Chapelle show spinning for Eminem.

Toca's history in the reggaeton movement can be traced back to its roots. As one of the resident Djs in The Noise night club in Puerto Rico, which was owned and managed by DJ Negro (Vico C's Dj), Tony helped pioneer the reggaeton sound that has become recognized all over the planet. In 1996 along with Nico Canada and Manolo, Tony Touch produced one of the most credible reggaeton albums to date titled Guatauba, which paired the top artist from Puerto Rico with established Hip Hop artists from the U.S. and reggae artists from Jamaica. In 2005 he will adapt the same formula again to take the latin scene by storm and release the ReggaeTony album on EMI Latino. The project wil consist of a Dream team linup including Tego Calderon,Daddy Yankee, Ivy Queen, Fat Joe, Cypress Hill, Noreaga and much more.
